From what I can see there was no hype at all. The snow fell in
pretty much exactly the places it was forecast. That is the northern
half of Scotland, much of Wales and into the West Country.
Indeed, conditions in parts of Cornwall were worse than forecast.

Yes, but for the south of England, they over-egged the pudding as usual.
You'd think from the way they were talking that the next ice-age was
setting in - but all we ended up with were temperatures 2-3 degrees
below average, and light winds.
