TONIGHT'S WEATHER WARNING
SNOW, ICE, FOG, FROST AND BITTER WINDS ALL OVER THE UK. DO NOT GO OUT IN
POTENTIALLY KILLER WEATHER IN FACT THIS COULD BE THE END OF THE WORLD AS
WE
KNOW IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But by tomorrow the sun should break through by midday and it should feel
very pleasant but please wrap and wear a scarf as there will be a wee bit
of
a wind-chill. Possibly some good news on Friday as the winds move around
to
the SW and it should feel a good deal milder.

Actually Lawrence in all seriousness, I've just come back inside from my
nightly
prowl around the garden. It's so quiet, all I can hear is the noise of the
wind
through the trees. Nothing else. No people, no birds, no animals, no road
noise,
nothing. Really a bit eerie, It's rarely *that* quiet, even here.

Will.

I'm not to sure about your reply, it seemed to be more concerned about
mocking my use of upper case. Now you are the last person I would have taken
as an advocate of capital punishment.

The severe warning alerts on UKMO are nothing short of a pile of ****e in
fact we'd get more near the truth reading the faecal placements of a river
dancer caught short on ice that had just started to break up.

Let's see in the morning how severe the snowfall was ?

The warnings were a disgrace to objectivity as other post clearly show.

Lawrence, don't take a fence I was merely noticing how quiet it gets when severe
weather is forecasted round here. Subtlety is not my scene, so you were reading
something into my post that wasn't there! For the record it *was* bitterly cold
and icy round here yesterday evening (20 knots and below freezing, but I am over
1000 feet up !!!).
