Dear All

I've been away on a break in Europe, so managed to miss most of the
"plume" incident. Out of interest, did anybody know if there was a danger
to aviation flying through the smoke?

Landed yesterday on a delayed flight so missed out on any daylight in the
UK, although I could make out a much darker ribbon of cloud as we landed in
Gatwick, although I've no idea if the plume would have made it that far?
