Dreadfully bleak day here. Wind gusting 40mph, persistent rain, around
5 degrees all day.

The main noteworthy event is the size of the sea now running in Mount's
Bay, probably biggest since Oct '04. Small tides though, so shoudn't be a
problem.

RAC website is showing the following
Unc Both Ways Penzance, Western Promenade Road Between Junction With
Alexandra Road And J/W Regent Terrace The road is closed due to flooding.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible.

Yes, it's been a problem despite the small tides. Force of the water coming
over was enough to turn over a tractor, so not the best place for an evening
stroll. Ther's going to be a lot of shingle to put back over the wall in the
morning.
