Here on Skye at 6.40pm. Pressure beginning to rise, now 989.4mm, temp + 10.1
C strongest wind gust: 50mph about an hour ago.. wind is beginning to veer
SW.
Almost a year to the day since the "storm" last Jan where 5 people died in
the outer Hebrides. Forcast for for the next few days does not give much
confidence! Continuing severe gales possible storms! Rainfall so far today
10.1mm. I think I am beginning to appreciate the "boring weather" ! At least
power is still on!

ROCKALL, VEERING WEST 5 TO 7 LATER. RAIN THEN SQUALLY SHOWERS.

HEBRIDES BAILEY FAIR ISLE FAEROES

WEST GALE 8 TO STORM 10. RAIN THEN SQUALLY SHOWERS. MODERATE OR POOR
Quite a blow on its way for NW Scotland. The coastal forecasts are showing
winds up to force 9 with sea states high to very high.
High tide at Oban is 03:24 UTC and 3.2 metres. Not a spring tide, so
hopefully no flooding like last year.
It's been a while since I last saw seas this high, and I will be over in
that part of the world tomorrow! If I get any photographs I'll let you
know.
Sorry if this post arrives twice, server probs again.
