Default Föhn effect ? Rosehearty 15.3°C

That Rosehearty figure must surely be a mistake ?? The highest
temperature here between 0600 and 1800 was only 6.4C.

Further along the Moray Firth coast it managed only 5C at Lossiemouth
and 6C at Kinloss (according to WeatherOnline) and these would be the
places more likely to benefit from a foehn effect. The most likely
explanation that I can find is that the Met Office have added a 1 to
5.3C by mistake.

Looks like someone's stuck the sensor in a bucket of water for a calibration
check. Pity the MO doesn't have Rosehearty on its list of stations for
hourly obs. I imagine it would have been missing temps for a couple of hours
around lunchtime.
