RMK: Ppn very slight. The atmosphere smells strongly, as if
there was a large chemical plant nearby. The smell is
quite noticeable even indoors

RMK: Hoar frost melting but ground frozen hard. Less of a smell
now but the pollution earlier this morning was the worst
I have experienced for a very long time.

.... the air quality site doesn't report anything unusual he-

which is odd as given the notable surface-based inversion, the source of
the airflow and the very light airs, would suggest the potential for
something rather higher than the 4 or 5 (out of 10) that is indicated
from the sparse data network available.
