Default Last night's fog

My walk home last evening was the foggiest since mid-November.
A quick flick through the observations indicates that the fog was not
confined to Luton.

.... although we didn't have fog at first light, certainly overnight, the
visibility was well below 500 m in this area.

I am no longer in the habit of watching TV forecasts, but I made a
point of catching the 2230 on BBC1 and the 2330 on N24 last night.
Neither made any mention whatever of fog (or even mist).

.... like you, I no longer make any effort to monitor BBC weather
broadcasts; the only one I caught yesterday was a late afternoon
offering where the spread of the 'blue' for frost areas was highlighted:
fog certainly wasn't mentioned - unlike in the days of Mr McCaskill's
GOF-graphics, we don't get an explicit representation of such now ;-)

Martin.
