Here in Mid Devon (Exeter) have only had 17.2MM so far this month, and if
it
stays like that it will be the joint lowest January rainfall on record (17
years). 1997 we had 17.2MM as well.
How is it looking in the dry Sussex and to the east?
Here in Ewell, Epsom in Surrey my January rainfall is 14.7mm which makes it
the driest January only since 1997 when I logged only 13.3mm. The 1971 -
2000 mean is 63.4mm. After the very dry January in 1997, February was wet
with 71.0mm.
