BRACKNELL (TAWFIELD)
0900 NNW F2 3500 HZ 8/STSC T-024D-042
RMK: StSc~009: deliberately avoided picking one or other low cloud
type - I suspect that the cloud is quite complex & morning IR pix show
quite a fairly cold top; No hoar deposit - air (& most surfaces) too
dry.
[ OVERNIGHT DATA (18Z - 09Z):
screen min: -02.5 grass min: -02.5 precipitation: NIL [24hr total: 00.0
mm]
other data: An ice day for the 2nd by standard definition, 24hr maximum
temperatu -00.3. Note the air & grass min. exactly the same, for the
second day running.=

1200 NNW F1 4200 -SN HZ 6/ST 8/SC T-013D-034
RMK: Snow flakes (not grains) just a few now and then - no impact upon
surface state or visibility. Grass min. thermo. reading -0.4°C, i.e.
nearly a degree higher than air temperature.=

1800 NNE F2 4500 HZ 8/ST T011D-014
RMK: St~010; temperature very slowly been rising through the day -
reached zero circa 1300Z, and is now at day maximum value. Grass min.
thermo. reading +1.0°C.
[ DAYTIME DATA (09Z - 18Z):
screen max: 01.1 precipitation: tr
other data: what little snow we had was not observed after 1300Z:
absolutely no impact on surfaces etc., here & if it were not for looking
carefully, could have missed it completely! ]=
