with uniform, characterless base~015/018.
[ OVERNIGHT DATA (18Z - 09Z):
screen min: 01.1 grass min: 01.0 precipitation: NIL [24hr total: tr

1300 NNW F2 7000 HZ 3/SC 8/SC T047D016
RMK: Sc~018 & 025; a completely different sort of day to the last few -
the higher cloud base and better visibility, coupled with the

1800 WNW F1 3500 HZ 2/CI COTRA T041D006
RMK: Sc thinning noticeably from ~14Z, with base lifted further; a
'hint' of blue, but no direct sunshine (or sight of the solar disk)
before sunset. Rapid dispersal of Sc between 17 & 1730Z, with consequent
drop in visibility, though primarily 'haze-based' under a surface
inversion, rather than mist at the moment.
[ DAYTIME DATA (09Z - 18Z):
screen max: 05.3 precipitation: NIL
other data: As of 09Z this morning, we had entered a period of 'absolute
drought' by the old (Symons) rules. ]=
