Vancouver has had hardly any snow this year - the slopes were bare at
the end of January. They were kind of worried about it seeing as
Whistler is hosting the Winter Olympics in a few years.

Oh no not again. It was a bit "thin" a couple of years ago. They
laid-off people at the slopes on Vancouver Island.
