Here is a summary of the latest NWP output for noon on Monday. Issued
0545, 23 Feb 06.
The models show cold weather persisting throughout the first half of next
week, with a strong Greenland High bringing winds from the north or NW.
The emphasis for wintry showers should switch from the south and east to
the north and west as a result, although disturbances in the flow could
bring precipitation almost anywhere.
Its an interesting Low on the GFS that moves South on the 28th/1st, with
pretty cold air around it...
Phil
I saw that one as well. That looks like a real winter classic.
