BRACKNELL (TAWFIELD)
0900 N F2 7000 -RASN HZ 3/SC 7/SC 8/AS T012D-022
RMK: Sc~018 & 030, As~080: as reported elsewhere, -SN began 0830Z, soon
sleet (as temperature rose very slightly) - slight still - no impact
upon surface or visibility as yet, but coming down steadily and with an
increase in intensity would turn readily to 'proper' snow again.
[ OVERNIGHT DATA (18Z - 09Z):
screen min: 00.9 grass min: 00.2 precipitation: tr [24hr total: 00.6
mm]
other data: Hard surfaces dry. ]=
1200 NNW F1 1800 RASN BR 8/ST T010D-002
RMK: St~010 (but with diffuse base); continuous precipitation past 3
hours - roughly 70/30 snow/sleet - surfaces damp, but no accumulation
even on foliage etc.
1500 NW F2 3500 -RASN BR 6/ST 8/SC T019D009
RMK: St~007, Sc~010/012. Although weather coded as 'sleet' the solid
element is now very small - by 13Z, PPN was largely rain with ocnl
'splodgy' bits thrown in. All surfaces thoroughly wet.=
1800 NNW F1-2 3000 -RASN BR 7/ST 8/ST T012D003
RMK: St bases~007/010. As above, mainly a 'rain' phase, but ocnl large
wet 'splodges' of melting snow. A good thing we are not 0.5C colder (or
~100m higher) or it could have been a very interesting day here! All
surfaces thoroughly wet.
[ DAYTIME DATA (09Z - 18Z):
screen max: 02.1 precipitation: 6.3
other data: With today's precipitation (continuous since 0830Z) we are
now comfortably up to 120% of eLTA for the month as a whole. ]=

2100 ENE F3 12km RE-RA 1/SC 5/SC 8/AS T013D001
RMK: Sc~020 & 040, As~100. Definite change of type with the wind
picking up. Grass min. thermo. reading +1.0degC; surfaces wet.=
