This isnt fair !
0.5mm of lying snow this year, for about 5 hours, You would think at 117m
ASL and on the edge of the Pennines I would get more. I even started to
count the number of snow grains that I saw this afternoon, things are
desperate.

Swings and roundabouts comes to mind so it must be our turn next, if not,
its toys out of the pram !

Sledging was in full swing on Hay Tor this afternoon with hordes of people
and
convoys of cars going up and down the hill. Snow depth 7 cm above 400m,
there
was even some ice scrambling as well on the south west edge of the Tor.
Some
snow lying at low levels looking south as Ian H. reported. Snow showers
late
afternoon has topped up the snow a bit which has not melted at all during
the
day.
Significant well below freezing wind chill on the exposed moor.

So tonight we are looking east with up to 10 cm forecast for Dartmoor.
