Default Incredible cold about to reach UK

I've been a bit of a lurker on TWO recently and have no allegiance to it,
but I did see that thread this morning and think you've taken it a bit out
of context. Now let's not make them seem too foolish but one member was
reading a UK map of accumulated precipitation mistakenly as a temperature
map and the areas where no 'temperature' was shown brought this (jokey)
comment:

"Morning Rob. Can I assume from that temp chart that central Southern
England has no temperature Is that absolute zero? Should be OK for snow
then "

Followed by:

"Morning.
Yep, it looks like a plunge of continental absolute zero air is going to
affect us"

The smiley faces that were present denote that this was a joke!

Don't know why I'm getting so defensive about this, I've just found the
model output discussions on TWO recently very interesting and don't like to
see them put down!

Regards,

Jeremy

Been a bit dull on here of late but certainly some entertainment on TWO
forum:- quote
"Morning.
Yep, it looks like a plunge of continental absolute zero air is going to
affect us"

......That'll be -273.15 deg C then! Brrrrrrr.

Dave, 11.20hrs, 0.5C, light covering of snow in shade, melted in sun

before
air temp was above freezing!
