This morning the temp rose from -6.2 at 0800 to -0.8 at 0900, then to
1.2 at 0930.
My Davis was in bright sushine, but is a rise of 7.4c in 90 minutes
really correct?
I also believe that it over-cooks the temp a bit as well at times. I'd
been interested to hear any comments.
Part 2 to follow.

Perfectly possible, David. The strong, nocturnal inversion no doubt eased
off rather quickly with the strong insolation. Did you notice a wind
speed increase at some stage as the boundary layer "recoupled" ?
Joe
Blimey Joe, that was a quick response. The breeze kicked in at 0850.
I watch this newsgroup like a hawk. Yes, I jest.
It was noticeable here too this morning with an 8degC rise in temperature
within two hours.
