I have used a cabled Davis Vantage pro now for quite some time and am
very pleased with it .For software ( especially when you want to use
the station for creating a weather-website ) you might want to look at
alternatives to the Weather-link program - which is an ok program by
itself - that comes with the DVP :
- Virtual Weather Station or
- Weatherdisplay ( the one I'm using )

these two programs are the frontrunners when it comes to software for
the Davis Vantage Pro ( together with the aforementioned Weatherlink
)
