The National Weather Service's National Hurricane Center is
watching
a low pressure area east of the Bahamas and another area
south-southeast of Florida for further development. These could
follow the path of Katrina or go up the east coast if they become
storms. Two years ago we were up to the "I's" in September with
Isabel and this year we were up to the "M's" in August with
Maria.
All the tropical depressions became named storms except number
ten.

August 35th, anyway... ;^)

If I recall correctly, Maria reformed from Tropical Depression
Fourteen which originated in August and died down.

TD #10 formed and died. The remnants combined with another system as it
moved north, reformed as TD #12 (TD #11 became Jose in the Bay of
Campeche) and became Katrina.
