What would happen if you drop a 50 megaton hydrogen bomb down the eye

I couldn't say for sure. What did you have in mind?

My guess is that it would have a similar effect to a 50.2359 megaton
hydrogen bomb exploded from a little higher. Of course a lot would
depend on the accuracy of the drop, the size of the storm and the air
pressure in and diameter of the eye.

One thing you could count on is that a considerable amount of water
would be vapourised and about more than three or four fish will be
boiled alive (and one or two dead.)

Is there any chance that this particular hurricane would be going
ashore at a certain ranch in Texas? Because if it is, I think we should
risk an experiment.

I would think that the blast wave radiating out from ground zero and then
sucking back (like you see in films) would have a considerable effect on
the rotation of the storm. Cat 1 thru 4.
