Default Looking for surface wind projections - in NE area

Does anyone know of a good source for short term (24-36) surface wind
projections (direction and speed)? I'm looking for this data in the New
England/Massachusetts area.

I googled "new england" "surface winds" prediction and came up with some
interesting links but nothing that really applied.

Usually when I look for weather prediction I look at the NCEP models:

This doesn't do surface winds, but they do have winds at the 850 mB height
(about 500 ft). Things like this:

Hope this helps,
