First decent Thunder for a while here this afternoon, numerous claps and
flashes all around - moderate hail code 5/6 giving a temp covering.

Also - Alston area, Cumbria - heavy hail shower then turned to snow
giving
a covering above 1500ft. ( 1530hrs ) Further report of a huge hail storm
towards Garrigill, Alston depth on the road of over 2" causing several
minor accidents. ( 1600hrs )
