Actually the figures you show to slant towards what I was driving at. 1975
to 2003 you have 9 entries
whereas in the preceding 82 years you have 5 entries. Actually I do take
your point if we go back into the 19th century. I was looking at the
Greenwich record and for 1868 there were 16 occasions though the screen
there was non standard. Nonetheless it was a hot summer.
