Catch 1980 = 20 million pounds
Catch 2002 = 62.3 million pounds

Last year's state
catch fell back almost 14 percent to 53.9 million pounds.

Still well over double 1980's standards. What we're seeing here, boys
and girls, is not a decline in lobster population, but Nature
correcting an OVERpopulation.

However, why are fishermen screaming global warming?

lobstering season
