Mysterious lobster threat is migrating north; blame global warming?

Hey, my shorts are too tight today and I didn't get laid last weekend.
I blame global warming!!!

Their 62.3 million pounds in 2002 set a record _ triple the
typical catch during the 1980s.

Catch 1980 = 20 million pounds
Catch 2002 = 62.3 million pounds

Last year's state
catch fell back almost 14 percent to 53.9 million pounds.

Still well over double 1980's standards. What we're seeing here, boys
and girls, is not a decline in lobster population, but Nature
correcting an OVERpopulation.

However, why are fishermen screaming global warming?

Bramhall is grossing about $150,000 during the April-to-January
lobstering season

[and]

About 1,100 lobstermen collectively sued
pesticide makers, claiming $300 million in losses.

Morale of the story, boys and girls: before you believe the sky is
falling, follow the money. If there's a lawsuit attached, don't
believe everything you read.
