Default Hello, Orlando? You're not going to believe this...

Here's another one for Orlando - how about you
stay home and give us a week or two to put this
place back together before you swarm in to the
beach and get in the way.

Of course, all the merchants would much rather their
interrupted cash flow from tourism were resumed
ASAP, all those merchants' employees would like to
avoid layoffs due to lack of any business, ...

Folks, knowing the town is a mess, are most likely
staying away in droves anyway, plus the approach of
killer storm Ivan (just broke into at least fifth
place for all time most deadly Atlantic storm ever,
not likely to overtake the one that hit Galveston,
TX, any time soon, though) after the lessons of
killer storm Charlie and killer storm Frances
reminded people of the relatively fragile nature of
human bodies, is more than likely changing even more
vacation plans. Orlando is going to end the year
feeling not only battered but neglected and part of
a business slump, I'm guessing.

A better approach than yours would be one listing
all the stuff in Orlando that IS ready, right now,
to cater to the tourist trade, to remind potential
tourists the town is still among the living. Those
tourists brave enough to show up are brave enough to
step around the cleanup efforts, too, I'd guess.
