Default Catastrophe scenario for a movie

Rodney,

A blocking scenario for the circum antarctic drift, that's what you
are suggesting?

Well, my guess - no more than that! :-) - would be an appreciable
warming of the Antarctic. The cooling of the Earth started off some
35 million years ago, after the opening of the Drake Passage. From
then on the Antarctic was enjoying its splendid isolation into deep
freeze. It finally started off the current series of ice ages.

So: Disrupting this splendid isolation would lead to a warming of the
Anrarctic.

A nice disaster scenario indeed. Wet feet (and much more than that)
all over the world.
