Oh I dunno -- my parents in State College are happy
the snow hasn't fallen this year.

Your life would be simplified, I think, by a killfile.
But I was mystified by your list of topics, half of
which I've not even seen -- my newserver is either
filtering heavily or seriously out of the loop! Is
Bartlo even still around? I haven't seen his name
on s.g.m in more than a year.
