Gave the mower its annual service and then mowed the lawn - between bits of
work. Pleasant outside but getting a bit uncomfortable indoors. The aircon
went on for the first time this year.

but we *do* need some rain; with Dew Points around 4degC, and a steady
wind running, the newly broken soil is drying rapidly - and in sheltered
parts of the garden (which would normally be damp at this time of year),
there is no notable 'dampness' available.
