Default Aerosol Question

Hello together,

working on aerosol profiles for radiative transfer simulations, I am
searching for some information about the change of the size distribution
with increasing height. Knowing the size distribution of the aerosol
type near the ground I found in Seinfeld and Pandis a formula to
calculate the decrease of the number concentration with increasing
height up to a certain altitude. But I guess that the decrease is caused
by a change in the size distribution because larger aerosol particles do
not reach higher levels. Is this correct an if it is correct, is there a
kind of empirical formula for the resulting size distribution in
different heights ?

Thanks for your help in advance !
