Right. Neither are hurricanes. Both are far worse than
what we've just seen at their realistic extremes.

Imagine shaking at 9.something for *ten minutes* like Bande
Aceh did at the start of this year. Nothing, absolutely
nothing, will be standing after that, and that's just what
the long stressed San Andreas can be reasonably expected to
do just about any day now.
