At 1100Z (1200 BST) temperature 18.5degC, a whisker below our day

max
yesterday (which was the warmest day so far this year). Another few
hours to go to max temp (circa 15Z) so we should get to 20

comfortably
(but not necessarily much higher looking at the Herstmonceux ascent)

Update: 1355Z
20.7degC, 7 oktas Cirrus, 1 okta fragmented/shallow Cumulus (high

base);
low RH ~ 40% and gentle wind. OAT still nudging up a shade?

Final 1800Z
Tmax today (highest so far this year) = 21.5degC: Large areas thin Ci
all day, with no more than 2 oktas shallow/high-base Cu (circa 5500 to
6000ft), now Sc Cugen. RH at 18Z ~ 45%, with very light breeze.

Martin.
