In my travels between here and North Ayrshire over the years I have
noticed that the daffs have typically been 3-4 weeks later in Ayrshire
than here. I should think it's fairly unusual for them to bloom in
Whistlefield before they do here. Of course, it could be down to
different varieties but I am no expert on that. The limit of my
knowledge is that if they're yellow they must be daffodils :-)

I'd agree with that but, this year, the south(?) has had much lower
temperatures than here and also, I think, less sunshine.

I'm still waiting for the lesser celandine then I'll know that it
really is Spring.
