The AWS at Milhaguet in the Haute Vienne: http://www.weather-uk.com/page4.html
collected 232mm of rain during March 2006. The nearest SYNOP station, at Limoges,
had 243mm making it the wettest March there since 1888
(composite record from two sites).
Since it started raining again on 14th Feb, there has been 340mm of rain - about three
times the long-term average -so that should partially alleviate the water-shortage there.
A basin drained by the Gironde and Loire.
Will it help regions further east and south?
Portugal and Spain suffered quite a bit last year too. How are they
doing?
I noticed quite a few fronts that aught in normal years passed north of
us and end up in Norway went south into France this year. How unusual
is that?
