Ken, what are they doing to the A66 between Barnard Castle and Scotch
Corner? All the trees and hedges are being felled are they starting work
on making it dual carriageway? That'll be fun, I might have to revise my
route to Leeds while they do that.

Hi, Dave,
No idea on that one, but I'll find out this week and let you know. My
best bet is No.1 son who works in the area and gets all the gossip,
worst bet is Parish Council who never seem to be told anything!
Dual carriaging sounds a good bet and an even better idea!
Best wishes,
Ken

We were in Team Valley Retail Park when it started to snow. On the
drive north, you could see the showers sweeping in, with extensive
virga. The precipitation was rain though until around kick off time
like you say. Snowflakes were as big as 2p pieces at times, very wet
and clingy.
I remember the Forest/Spurs game quite well, it was a complete
whiteout. The conditions were much worse than at Sunderland, with a
complete covering of snow being the main problem. Officials couldn't
see lines/each other and it was totally pointless carrying on.
