Why is it when we loose a station on the synops they NEVER replace with
another nearby station. The same happened with Manchester Airport, I was
led to beleive Woodford was the replacement, but nothing ever happened.
As usual we move backwards in this Country.


The nearby RAF Buchan closed last year after they realised the cold war
was over. The large white golf ball remains a blot on the landscape
however. The 'domestic' site was sold off for some millions and is
being retailed/developed presently.
