Slight change of subject.
RAF St. Mawgan's closure has been postponed for six months until October

Part of it is run as Newquay Airport for which Cornwall County Council is
responsible but can barely afford as they are taxing all passengers £5 to
help reduce a deficit of £1 million a year.
There is now a move afoot to rename the place to "Jo Whiley Airport"

What will happen to the meteorological services when this is all over is
anyone's guess, but obviously an airport can't operate without them.
Almost all civil airports in the UK operate without any meteorological
personnel on site these days.
