Thanks, Dave. There must have been quite a large amount for it to have
remained until now.

That is the north facing side of Cross Fell and in the hollows etc. I
suspect there would have been quite a bit up there. We had considerable
amounts of sleet and wet snow but were not quite cold enough for it to
accumulate. Height makes a great deal of difference...
