Default OT Grocks

I wish to ask the advice of the eminent people of this discussion group,
that know about grocks, do they invariably walk on the wrong side of a
country road without pavements?

I ask because on my journeys into the countryside, I quite frequently
see people doing the above bad practice.

I learned from childhood maybe before, to always walk on the right hand
side of a country road, so that motorists and I can see each other.
The only exception is on a sharp right hand bend. Then again I was
brought up in a country village, perhaps townies don’t know such things,
which is puzzling, because they all have cars and what's on the first
page of the highway code? How to walk on pavement-less roads.

Or could it be that some British are so dumbed down and selfish now
there don’t care that they get run over, thinking that they can sue.
Not much use in suing when you are dead.

Sorry for the grumble, I walked from Bridgnorth to Eardington yesterday,
I met some idiots walking on the left side of the road, which caused me
to go out more into the road, while passing them, and nearly got my
myself run over, by a boy racer type. :-(
