A weeks unbroken sunshine.

I've noticed just the same thing.
Good, seems to happen all the time irrespective of the time of year.
1 problem being that the Newquay the reports are actually from the airfield,
which is some way inland, where
there is often some cumulus development along the sea breeze limit, when
Newquay itself is cloudless.
I know the location well and should have stated that it is clearly visible
from my position at the caravan site. Newquay and said location as you have
quite correctly stated would also have had endless sunshine this past few
days
Having said that I hadn't seen a single cumulus in the sky anywhere for
week until this afternoon
even then they were small and at no time obscured the sun.
Well Graham, I have come back home to Newbury now, hee hee!
The sunshine figures for Falmouth (and probably Scilly) give of a truer
indication of the last weeks weather on the coast.

PS! Do you have any friends that can provide comparable data from a nearby
site on a continual basis and maybe these obvious errors
could be investigated further. I know ceefax is far from the best way to
study live data but from a caravan it was my only choice, Oxford and
Salisbury
are usually spot on though for my home location.
