No significant rainfall seems to have occurred further East than the
Southampton area. Where I am, there's not even a trace in the rain
guage but radar indicates some slight patchy rain at my location
around 0600 GMT and Solent MRSC reported rain at that time.
Unfortunately the 0550 METAR for Southampton Airport is missing and I
was asleep at the time!

To record a trace or not a trace? That is the question!
