BRACKNELL (TAWFIELD)
0900 W F1-2 45km - 1/SC 7/AC T165D113
RMK: [CAVOK] - tr Sc (distant)~050, tr Ac~090 (showing some signs of
instability & penetrating the main layer), 7Ac~120 (with
thin/translucent enough, with gaps, to see that there is little if
anything above). After the overcast start, bright with occasional
diffuse sunshine now.
[ OVERNIGHT DATA (18Z - 09Z):
screen min: 12.8 grass min: 12.0 precipitation: 1.2 [24hr total: 01.2
mm]
other data: rain off and on from early hours to ~0645Z, with short burst
moderate rain ~0400Z. All hard surfaces now dry (strong evaporation),
but exposed soil has benefited in first couple of mm. Total rainfall for
month now 4.5mm / 8% of the eLTA. ]=

1400 WSW F3 60km - 1/AC T237D061
RMK: [CAVOK & COTRA] - 1Ac (thin/patch stratiformis)~120, 1Ac (markedly
lenticular/multi-layer)~150/180, 1Ci/COTRA~300. A truly superb day. The
Ac of the 09Z observation gradually transformed by evaporation and
wave-motion deformation to current state. At one time about 2 hr ago,
the multiple 'plates' of the Ac len were quite remarkable.=

1800 WSW F2 60km - 1/CI T241D066
RMK: [CAVOK & COTRA] - 1Ci (distant to N)~250, 2Ci/COTRA~300.
[ DAYTIME DATA (09Z - 18Z):
screen max: 25.4 precipitation: NIL
other data: The sunshine has been very strong this afternoon - shining
out of a blue, unpolluted sky: visibility also excellent - somewhat
different to 'hot' spells in recent years.]=
