Default Lee wave activity over Ireland today

In message , Mike Tullett
writes

Over much of Ireland lee wave activity has been marked today, just east of
the cold front located to the west of Ireland. I took a sequence of photos
of such a wave, lying close to Malin Head - nine in about 45 minutes. The
stationary nature is clear as is the constantly evolving shape of the
cloud.

Nah, you tell from the shape they're just camouflage for a group of UFO
motherships ;-)

Seriously, nice photos.
