BRACKNELL (TAWFIELD)
0900 NNE F3 15km - 1/CI 4/CICC T228D148
RMK: [CAVOK] - 1Ci cast~200, 4CiCc (latter roughly 25% of
layer)~250/280, probably some thin, wispy Ci above that ~300+. Earlier,
sky was dominated by Ac cast with a low base~070/090, but this dispersed
by 08Z. Wind ocnl F4.

1300 S F2-3 20km - 1/CU 7/AC //CICS T278D170
RMK: [CAVOK] - 1Cu hum/med~050, 7Ac~100, CiCs above, more than
half-cover. Clouding over during past 60-90 mins, with very 'casty' look
to sky at one point, but now turning more benign, and weak sunshine
returning.=
1500 SSE F4 40km - 1/CB 7/CI T303D153
RMK: [COTRA] - 1Cb cap bearing NNE (dramatic tower topped by developing
anvil / pileus), 1Cb cal/Cu con cells in a line - bearing roughly 010 to
090 from us, which together with the Cb cap, are the evidence from here
of the high rainfall returns on latest radar to NE of London. Also
present, 1Ac (Cbgen)~100, 1Ac (thin/broken)~150, 7Ci/COTRA~280 or
higher, with Ci immediately overhead showing radiatus characteristics to
SE. Marked improvement in visibility over past hour.=
1800 SSW F2 35km - 1/CB 3/AC T288D142
RMK: 1Cb cap (distant to E), 1Cb cal/Cu con/med in line with
aforementioned Cb, still dramatic vertical development evident. Also 1Ac
cast (overhead)~070/080, with distinctly 'wet'-looking base, and
3Ac~120. Some Cirrus above: total cloud amount 4 oktas.
