Default This afternoon in SE

The 3 spits and a spot we got this morning has turned up the humidity and
we're now into pressure cooker mode. The radar is looking pretty blank
around us at the moment so I'm anticipating that anything we do get this
afternoon will have to be home-grown.

Any informed comments?

I might as well add that I'm getting married on Friday afternoon, here at
the village church. My other three-quarters has had me on tenterhooks with
several will-it-won't-it (rain). I'm resisting a comment, partly because it
looks pretty unclear and partly because my reputation as a weather-watcher
is right on the line.

I don't mind as long as it cools down but heavy rain will obviously put a
bit of a damper on proceedings.

I'm glued to the forecasts but I've also got all my fingers crossed. It's
all made worse by the fact that the first date we'd looked at turned out to
be a glorious Saturday in early June but I had work commitments which I
needed to take precedence. If it all goes wrong now, I may well be
mincemeat by Friday night :-)

Fingers crossed for you Tom. I hope you have a lovely day - and
congratulations! (sorry I don't have any informed comments!)
