We had 40.8mm in the last 24 hours, most of which fell in the last 6 or
7 hours overnight. No really close thunder though.

This is my heaviest single-day total since Oct 2002 - and amounted to as
much as the previous 6 weeks combined.

It's still raining steadily now...
