Default Drought warning in Belgium

The Belgian Royal Meteorological Institute notes on its website that
the rainfall deficit in Belgium in June and the first half of July has
reached 55 to 70% in Flanders, the province of Antwerp and parts of the
provinces of Liège and Luxembourg, and 70 to 90% in much of the rest
of the country. The rain that has fallen has been mostly in
thunderstorms and so some places have been drier still.

The warm and dry NE wind expected over the next week will intensify the
effect of the drought and lead to a serious fire risk in forests and on
heathland.
