3rd Hurricane this week forming in the Acapulco Hot Spot in the
Pacific.
Earlier this week we had 3 simultanious hurricanes, Bilis, Bud &
Carlotta, on the Pacific equator, but now the calm before the storm.
This week it's Daniel on the Eastern Pacific and next coming up in the
Western Pacific will be Typhoon Kaemi probably to begin forming in a
few days. The ITCZ from Africa to Asia across the Atlantic and Pacific
Oceans probably has some Maximun number of Hurricanes it can spawn
simultaneously. In 2004 there were four active hurricanes in the
Atlantic (Ivan, Jeanne, Lisa & Karl) and one in the Pacific on the
other side of Mexico. There may have been some far East but we ddn't
have satellite access to see them then. This year we can see the whole
watery half of the world at once. It's going to be a show. The Atlantic
season is delayed because the massive dustbowl is suppressing canes,
But you can only bottle that genie for so long and then it busts out --
a good Cape Verde hurricane would rain the dust out of the air and then
the excitement begins.
