Default A degree of hype

33.4C in Fleet, Hampshire. Very oppressive, thoroughly looking forward to a

And 33.6 in Aldershot. Wouldn't say it's oppressive though - very low
humidity and a pleasant breeze - but a warm breeze, so none of the
usual unpleasant chilliness you feel in a British summer breeze. Most
pleasant summer conditions I can imagine. Highest "official" max I've
seen is 32.7 at Wisley.

As for the H&S excuse, it sounds like nonsense to me -- the weather
does what it does with no help from the forecasters, so nobody is going
to blame the Met Office if they get too hot!

Tomorrow, the Met Office goes for a max of 35C, which looks likely to
me with a southerly wind and 850mb temps a degree up on today. If you
look at their forecast maps, the earlier 37s and 38s have been removed.
