The temperature in my house is currently 26 downstairs and 28

Martin Rowley, the external temperature near here was 32 degrees and
I suspect it's higher now.
Yes this routine works well for me. With the living room on the north
side of the house I close windows and door about 9am and the temp in this
room at
least remains about 4deg below outside. I then open everything up in late
evening.

I think today is going to be worse for me than yesterday. My max downstairs
was 27, some eight degrees lower than outside, but this morning I've had
all windows wide open and can't get below 24. Trouble is the external walls
are one-foot-thick solid concrete and act as storage radiators.
