Default july cet

Just wondering after yesterdays record temps and forecasts for the next few

Any thoughts?

The mean temperature for the month so far here (including an
assumed max of 29 today) is 19.8° whereas the warmest month (July
1983) had a mean of 20.1°C. To beat that the mean here for the next
11 days will have to be 20.8°C, which looks possible. (Say a mean max
of 27 and a mean min of 15). Of course even if this happens the July
CET record may not be broken but probably would be.
